是第一部太空紀實IMAX立體3D電影，觀眾將可跟隨著影片與太空人一同自位於美國佛羅里達州的甘迺迪太空總署出發，更可透過IMAX獨特的3D立體影像技術，以一萬七千五百英里的時速，遨遊地球表面以外一千兩百二十英里無重力的外太空，並進入太空人於外太空的實驗室。『終極太空站』記錄了由十六個國家共同投注心血建立外太空實驗室的精采過程，此實驗室的研究目的為長久暴露在無重力狀態下的影響並為多國合力登陸火星的計劃做準備，這是一部關於挑戰、不屈不撓精神的影片。

Space Station 3D" is the story of the unique partnership of 16 nations building a laboratory in outer space--a permanent facility for the study of the effects of long-duration exposure to zero gravity and the necessary first step towards the global co-operative effort needed if man is to someday set foot on Mars. It is a story of challenges, setbacks and triumphs... and ultimately, the shared international victory of men and women whose dreams exceed the limits of life on this Earth.
